The Climasure Stainless Steel Mesh Cavity and Weatherboard Closer series comprises premium-grade, corrosion-resistant ventilation profiles designed to seal the base (or top) of external ventilated wall cavity structures. Woven from high-strength Grade 304 stainless steel wire and finished with a durable, non-reflective black powder coating for shadow-line aesthetic concealment, this range provides robust, unrestricted cavity drainage and ventilation while permanently blocking pest, rodent, insect, and wild ember intrusion.

Building Code Compliance (For Certifiers)
- AS 3959:2018 (Bushfire): Meets requirements of Clauses 3.6 & 5.6.5/6.6.5 etc. for construction in Bushfire Attack Levels from BAL-12.5 up to and including BAL-FZ (Flame Zone). Composed entirely of non-combustible material (SS304) with a clear aperture of 1.69mm (under the 2.0mm maximum threshold required for ember screening).
- NCC 2022 (Condensation): Fully complies with the Condensation Management provisions (BCA Volume 1 Section F8 / Volume 2 Section H4). Designed specifically to guarantee high-volume unrestricted ventilation pathways for structural cavity drainage without creating airflow bottlenecks.
- NCC Vermin Proofing: Provides full, unbroken mechanical blockouts preventing pest, insect, and rodent access to timber structures while allowing clear passage of structural moisture runoff.
Engineering Tolerances & Installation
- Dimensional Tolerance: ±2 mm for all nominal dimensions.
- Angular Tolerance: ±2.5° for all profiled angles.
- Corrosion Resistance: Grade 304 Stainless Steel (SS304) is inherently resistant to harsh industrial pollutants, marine salts (suitable for C4 and C5 coastal corrosion zones), and UV breakdown. Black powder coat increases active life span.
- Architectural Install: Fix directly to structural timber frame plates or steel studs using mechanical fastners (nails, screws, or heavy-duty staples) at 300mm max centres prior to vertical cavity battening. Align cleanly and butt join.
